When I first started Foolishwayz.com I was just blindly taking a chance with blogging, I had no real clue how to do it? or why I was even doing it in the first place? I just viewed it as a way to voice my opinion and give my voice to the world if you will? but never did I expect for the site to get the kind of response that it has received? I was once told “ I like visiting the site because it’s not just a J Tuck music page i get tons of info on things I had no clue about, Foolishwayz.com is my New York Times” and due to the success of the site I thought it was time to expand! But who? do I think is worthy enough to be apart of something so special that i’ve created? who? has the guts to give an honest opinion but endure the respect of the readers because they have a distinguishing quality about themselves, and has a believable credibility with the topic? who? has the personality to call out this Hollywood lifestyle on some perez hilton type ish (PAUSE) and keep it 100% real and creative? WHO?

MIKE GAME!
Michael “Mike Game” Guesby has been known in the hip hop scene as for wearing his heart on his sleeve as he has been involved in numerous “rap beefs” from his small local foes to mainstream industry artist such as charles hamilton (must see video) but the difference I see in Mike Game is HONESTY. In a time (especially in hiphop) where everyone is holding hands. singing kumbaya under a rainbow backdrop. You need people to show COURAGE and say how they really feel. And thats is an important quality I respect in an individual.
So with further adieu I would like to give to you “The Game Report” a raw, uncut, unleashed perspective on MUSIC NEWS.CELEB NEWS.SPORTS.AND MORE!
MIKE GAME STEP UP TO THE PODIUM!
————————————————————————————————————————————————————————–
“Thank You Later? C’mon Son”
Upon my first listen of Drake’s “Thank Me Later”, I did not hear the comparisons to Jay-Z, Kanye West and Lil Wayne, that everyone else had been declaring. I heard a striking similarity to west coast rapper The Game. How? Why? You may ask yourself. Well, because like The Game, 5 years earlier he took everything that was hot up until that time, got himself a cosign from the biggest rapper at the time, and put out an abortion of an album.Where The Game made a gumbo out of artists he’d most easily be blended in with, Drake does something just awful.
The album starts with “Fireworks”, a somber track with Alicia Keys on the hook, where he already creates a Lil Wayne comparison. When I say that I dont mean he sounds like Wayne, I mean just like Wayne, Drake already displays an inability to stay on topic. First we get some stuff about fame, then something bout a chick, then something bout gossip, then again with this chick. None of the shit he’s talking bout is even related to the hook. Minus one for Drake. Then he does “Karokee”, a fitting title I must add, because since he couldnt get Sade on the track, he sings EXACTLY like her, which is kinda gay. Minus two for Drake

Track 3 “The Resistance” isnt too bad, I actually somewhat enjoy when Drake sings, it seems to be the only time he shows to be somewhat genuine. But this is when the album begins a continuing theme, the theme of hating fame. Homie, youve been a child actor most of your life, your show Degrassi ended, so you became a rapper. If you really hated fame, why did you continue to pursue it? Plus, hearing him brag about money is just getting crazy. Next is “Over”, I really dig that song. “Show Me A Good Time” is hilarious because his idol Kanye West jewed him on a beat, its clearly an 808s and Heartbreak throwaway (being half Jewish, Drake is used to it), oddly placed Wu Tang and Tribe referrences. So you a hip hop head now? Negative. “Up All Night” is an extremely phoned in performance by both Drake and that horrendous Nicki Minaj.
I hate “Fancy”, I really hate songs celebrating women who are independent and shit, why should I give props to a woman doing shit she should already be doing. TI also shows what happens to mediocre rappers when they get knocked. Lil Wayne was already losing it, but god only knows whatll happen when he comes back. “Shut It Down” with The Dream, well Drake sounds like RuPaul saying “Put those fucking heels on and work it girl”. Next is “Unforgettable”, again he wants us to always remember him. So dog do you hate fame or love it? “Light Up” with Jay-Z is surprisingly good. But his “Drake flow” begins to sound more forced. He says “I just wrote this for they Girlfriends, Kelsey Grammar”. I dont think alot of people are going to know off top that Fraiser executive produced and wrote Girlfriends.
“Miss Me” with Lil Wayne not only sounds poorly mixed, Wayne shows his growing wackness. “Cece’s Interlude” is sweet, but Ill admit I have no idea what its about. “Find Your Love” another 808s and Heartbreak throwaway complete with “hey hey hey”, which was used frequently on that album. “Thank Me Now” the albums final track, is filled with bragging, so I guess Drake is influential now?
As a complete album, “Thank Me Later”, just reinforces a thought Ive had for the last few years, you just CANT TRUST new niggas to make a good album. B.o.B. backed that up with his album in April. Drakes affliation with Lil Wayne is a gift and a curse. A gift because he gets that instant recognition. But a curse because he spends more time trying to fit in than to stand out. You can tell Drake is a soulful intuitive guy, but for whatever reason he’d rather do the typical rapper flaunting boasting and bragging, which causes his art to suffer greatly.
My name is Mike Game, and this has been The Game Report, sucka.
See ya later on in the week, where I tell you why your favorite rappers record label, isnt even fucking real.
